Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Neuroscience Med/Surg unit. This position involves providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on the experience of patients and their families.

Shift and Schedule

• Shift: 18:45 – 07:15
• Schedule: 3×12 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with varying conditions.
• Float to other units as needed based on skills and staffing requirements.
• Monitor and manage patient diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Catheterization, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, Congestive Heart Failure, and Sepsis.
• Administer medications using the Omnicell system.
• Engage in special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Staffing Ratios

Nursing staffing ratios are 1:6 during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and active RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Prior travel nursing experience is not permitted for this position.
• Candidates must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.
