MS Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

The MS Tele Registered Nurse will provide care in a newly established unit specifically designed for telemetry patients. This role requires strong clinical skills in the management of patients with telemetry needs.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12 Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (non-negotiable)
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Must be willing to float within scope as needed

Unit Information

• New unit, currently building from the ground up
• 18 beds equipped with bedside monitors, telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
• Charge responsibilities split between stepdown and unit
• Leadership is available during off-shift hours and on-call via phone
• 24/7 coverage by house supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Telemetry nursing
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Required License: South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand prior to start date
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is essential
• Preferred experience in community hospitals

Miscellaneous Information

• Ability to accommodate block schedules is subject to approval but not guaranteed
• Local radius: Accepting travelers within 60 miles
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted during the application process
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Additional Notes

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response roles. Please confirm availability and willingness to work during this period prior to assignment.
