Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac ICU

Unit Description:

The Cardiac ICU specializes in the care of patients with advanced heart failure and those on mechanical circulatory support systems such as Impella, durable ventricular assist devices (VAD), ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP). The unit operates with a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:2 and accommodates a total of 16 patients at maximum capacity.

• Patient Population: Patients experiencing multisystem failure with a focus on advanced heart failure and post-operative cardiac surgical care.
• Bed Count: 16
• Census: 16

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Level 1 experience is required.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is highly preferred.
• Expertise in advanced heart failure management is required.
• 1+ years of travel experience is required.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Valid nursing license/certificate verification is required.

Schedule:

• 36-hour rotating day/night schedule.
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH) requirements.
