Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Surgical/Medical

Position Overview: A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed for a dynamic neuro surgical/medical unit. This role demands a focus on patient care for individuals undergoing neuro surgical procedures and managing neuro diagnoses.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting.
• Certifications:
  • Required: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6.
• Shift Information: Night shifts, 3×12-hour format (18:45 – 07:15).
• Contract Length: Options available for 13-26 weeks.
• Float Requirement: Yes, flexibility to float as necessary.
• Weekend Requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract; flexibility will be discussed with the traveler.
• Blocked Scheduling: May be accommodated based on requests.
• Compulsory Reporting: Ability to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations is required.

Orientation & Training:

• Two orientation shifts on the unit after completing hospital-based orientation.

Note: Candidates must successfully pass EKG testing prior to beginning this role. Neuro experience is preferred.
