Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care in a critical access hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin Pharmacy Licensure – in good standing
• Recent acute hospital experience is essential

Areas of Coverage

• Emergency Department (ED)
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Medical/Surgical Unit
• Behavioral Health
• Infusion Center
• Surgical Center

Common Duties

• Review medication orders for appropriateness of drug therapy, including assessment of dosage, dosage form, regimen, therapeutic duplication, and drug interactions.
• Provide pharmacokinetic assessments and anticoagulation dosing.
• Engage in pharmaceutical care through clinical services, including medication reconciliation and patient education on discharge medications.
• Oversee pharmaceutical compounding in compliance with USP regulatory guidelines (focus on USP 797 and USP 800).

Required Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC and experience with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs).
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians.

Scheduling and Shifts

• Shifts are 12 hours from 0630 to 1900, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, or 0800 to 1600.
• Some opportunity for self-scheduling available to promote work-life balance.
• Rotating weekends and holiday coverage is required.

Dress Code

Employees are expected to wear scrubs or business casual attire.

Department-specific orientation will be provided to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
