Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II plays a vital role as a member of the patient care team, working closely with other team members to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care. This position emphasizes a patient and family-focused approach in all interactions, striving to understand and meet the needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
• Maintain a patient-centered philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and personnel.
• Perform hemodynamic measurements using the Siemens Sensis system and document accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Participate in a variety of cases ranging from outpatient procedures to complex cardiac interventions.

Schedule

Position entails working three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Weeknight and weekend call is possible during the contract period, with no guarantee of weekend or holiday shifts. In a typical 13-week contract, expect 1-3 weeknight shifts and possibly 1 weekend shift.

Unit Overview

The unit is equipped with seven procedure rooms and a hybrid operating room, all upgraded within the last five years. The facility features a 12-bay space dedicated to patient preparation and recovery, supporting an average of over 30 cases per day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• At least 1 year of travel experience preferred.
• Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
