Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II is an essential member of the patient care team, collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless continuity of care for patients. This role emphasizes a patient- and family-centered approach in every interaction, aiming to understand and respond to customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work as a pivotal part of the patient care team in the department.
• Support and collaborate with other care team members for optimal patient outcomes.
• Promote a philosophy of patient and family-focused care through all interactions.
• Utilize advanced medical technologies and systems for patient procedures.
• Assist with various types of procedures, including outpatient RHC, coronary angiograms, and more complex interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• At least 1 year of travel experience as an ARRT-certified technologist with RCIS certification required.
• ACLS certification is required.

Shift Information

Shifts may consist of (3) 12-hour or (4) 10-hour work periods. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call is possible during the contract term; however, this position does not include weekend or holiday worked shifts. During a 13-week contract, 1-3 weeknights and possibly 1 weekend may be scheduled, though the latter is not guaranteed.

Unit Information

The Cath Lab features seven procedure rooms, including a hybrid Operating Room (OR), with recent upgrades completed within the last 1-5 years. There is a dedicated 12-bay peri-procedural area for patient preparation and recovery. The charting system used is Epic, and hemodynamic measurements are taken using the Siemens Sensis system. The lab averages over 30 cases daily, ranging from routine outpatient procedures to intricate vascular interventions.
