Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role involves assisting patients in developing and restoring functional independence, enhancing their quality of life in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with educational initiatives for patients and their families regarding therapy practices.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills are essential.
